BORCAD develops and produces seats for passenger rolling stock. Its product lines cover regional, commuter, long-distance and high-speed trains, and special seats. Named models include Visio, Flexio, Comfort, Genio and VERSIO, the successor to VISIO, which the website says had its world premiere at InnoTrans 2026 in Berlin.

Its customers are rail operators and train manufacturers. The website lists references including ÖBB, Stadler, Siemens, Norske tog, Koleje Mazowieckie, Glacier Express, Talgo Saudi Arabia and Rocky Mountaineer, and reports a won Siemens tender for 90 trains for Munich S-Bahn. The website describes supplying seats on project orders and tenders.

The company was founded in 1990 by Ivan Boruta as a design and development studio and produces its seats in the foothills of the Beskydy Mountains. The website states that it has more than 200 staff. In 2022 it was acquired by the private equity funds Genesis Capital (Czech Republic) and Integral Venture Partners (Hungary).
