About Carboneg Group
Carboneg is a carbon removal project based on soil carbon sequestration through regenerative farming practices on cropland and pasture. Carbon is measured directly in soil samples taken at fixed GPS points, and each credit is recorded on the Regen Network registry.
The customers are companies that buy removal credits for CSRD, SBTi Net-Zero V2 and net-zero portfolio reporting, with annual offtake from 500 t CO₂ on forward or spot contracts. The company states that at least 70% of what buyers pay goes to the farmers who store the carbon.
The company states it has 250,000+ ha under regenerative management, 200 farmers, and operations in nine countries: Czechia, Slovakia, Ukraine, India, Kazakhstan, South Africa, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Chile. Its headquarters are in Prague, and its career page lists an open marketing specialist position.
Product: Soil carbon removal credits backed by directly measured soil organic carbon, a 20% buffer pool and a 10-year crediting period, with 10 further years of monitoring.
